"If I'm not getting hired, it's because I'm not good enough"

My confession: Before getting hired by a big company, I was rejected many times. I sent out my portfolio countless times, only to receive zero positive responses. Each rejection felt like a gut punch, but I was also excited about the opportunity to learn and grow. My mindset was: "If I'm not getting hired, it's because I'm not good enough." That was true. That thought still goes with me. And I just have to look up to the best artists that resonates with me and learn from them.

My portfolio were rejected by Wizards in 2018. Last year they contact me and I'm working almost full-time with them.
When reaching clients begin by considering their needs and how you can solve them. Think in reverse, and put yourself in the client's shoes. You're selling your skillset, not waiting to be hired or job, be proactive.
The client or editor is your potential customer and meanwhile keep investing in your skills and improving your portfolio!

Reviewing Portfolios I find some general issues that could be resolved with general tips. So I really encourage you to improve your portfolio as much as you can before heading into any Review to get the most of it later.
